For those who didn't bother to read the Bill, effectively, it makes all health care professionals de facto federal government employees, and all hospitals and health clinics de facto government owned, raising questions of constitutionality under National Federation of Independent Business v. Sebelius, US Supreme Court 183 L. Ed. 2d 450 (2012).

676 has been around since the early 2000's and docs generally haven't supported it because most docs do not want to be a gov't employee. Many also don't like a program where all our hospitals become like our VA.

Docs generally didnt support Medicare as well in the 1960s, so we shouldnt take that too seriously. AMA is a very regressive organization.

Hospitals are not run by the government in other single payer countries like Canada, very different from the VA.

As soon as you agree to agree to put $65,000 US earners (middle class) in the 51% income tax bracket like in Sweden AND charge everyone a 25% VAT on top of that, let me know. Until then... you're just incessantly whining for OTHERS to pay for what you want.

I hate Medicare and would love to go back to the Insurance I had before I was forced onto Medicare.

Looks like everyone is against a "fix" to the ObamaCare Debacle.
So be it ........ let it ride exactly the way it is and perhaps in a year people will be willing to look at a way to repeal/replace. Let the Premiums rise out of site. Let the Insurance Companies bug out.

Drug Addicts need to hit bottom before they have a chance of recovery.
Looks like it's the same thing with ObamaCare. Let it implode - the Leftists OWN it.
I am curious, Kibby. Why do you hate Medicare?

That's another lie.

The actual Medicaid eligibility annual income cut-off for a family of 3 in TX is $39,917.

Thats not what this link says. Only children and pregnant women get Medicaid at that income level. The parents of children dont get it if they earn more than $3800 a year. And for single people, you dont get it at all, regardless of income.

Where Are States Today? Medicaid and CHIP Eligibility Levels for Children, Pregnant Women, and Adults | The Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation

But why do you even use this as an argument? You hate Medicaid and want to eliminate it. Yet you use the existence of Medicaid as an argument of how great the system is in America for people on $10 000 compared to Sweden. Thats absurd.

You were the one who claimed single people get Medicaid regardless of the state they live in. Thats not true at all. Single people who earn $10 000 in your favorite red states dont get Medicaid and if they get sick they will suffer excruciating pain. That pain is the smell of freedom.

Why do you keep going on and on about this? You have been schooled time and time again on this now. Someone making $65 000 a year pays about 31% in payroll, local and federal income taxes and very low property taxes in Sweden (and earned income tax credits apply to this income group as well). For that 31% they get almost free child care, a national health care system, 5 weeks paid vacation, 1 year paid family and medical leave, a pension, good sick leave benefits compared to America, good disability benefits, tuition free higher education, public transit etc etc. Someone making 5 times as much as the $65 000 earner pays 54% of his or her income for the same benefits in Sweden. Public services are not means tested in Sweden, unlike America and that is why people support it. Everyone benefits. Add up what people on $65 000 in America pays in total taxes and what they have to pay out of pocket (or simply dont get, like worker's rights) and its not looking good for the everyday American.
