Trump’s nonstop vacations to Mar-A-Lago in South Florida are not only costing taxpayers big time, but they’re also costing tons of money for local businesses that have to shut down.

It's about time.

I really don't get why people don't see that this is a huge problem.

It's not like he's Bush Jr and visiting a secluded ranch on ACRES of land. He's right there, in the thick of it, shutting down highways every weekend going and coming.

It's incredibly rude.

They can commiserate with the people in NYC and CA that suffered the same issues all the time from Obama's constant fundraising visits.

Why doesn't someone take him to Camp David and tell him this is his new 'retreat.'?

Maybe Jared, his new czar on innovation, will bring this idea up.

Agreed.

Regardless of how much one likes or dislikes Trump, the fact that local businesses are getting shafted so hard is appalling. Either provisions need to be made so that the people living and working in the immediate area don't have their small businesses completely destroyed... OR he needs to reduce the amount of time he spends down there.

He won't win it again if he keeps on ruining people's businesses and costing the state a fortune while screwing up in DC.

So, yeah... he should probably scale back a little.

You're okay with local businesses going bankrupt so the president can vacation at his leisure?

So much for making America "great" again...

I feel like he needs a helipad over at Mar-a-Lago and some security near it so he can just land there on Marine One.

Not sure where he'd have to pick it up to fly in, but it seems more logical than this motorcade, businesses blocked off, and extra police presence every weekend.

Is that resort even large enough for this? I mean, I don't know how many golf courses it has, but we all have to make sacrifices.
