Americans Adrift: Can a remote island in Canada become a safe harbor for those who want to flee Donald Trump?

I share the sentiments of those fleeing, but I would choose Ireland or New Zealand over Canada!

Let us know how that works out for ya.

FTR, since the door has always been open for those wishing to leave the United States, I'm really not sure what the point of the thread is.

You do know that is TOTAL BS... right? Other nations do NOT have open borders , or allow unlimited immigration, or I would have already left!

And just how do you "KNOW" how those people voted? You don't know squat! You're just embarrassed because their common sense is 10 times what yours is!

Canada too cold!!

We just bought a home in Central Mexico, Lake Chapala. Most expats there are Canadians.

We lived there full-time 2008-2012. Returned to US to care for elderly parent.

We have friends in other parts of Mexico and all confirm that housing sales and rental markets are hot hot hot since President Bonkers won the election.

Viva Mexico!!

You liberal Snowflakes are no different than the conservative Snowflakes that threatened to leave after Obama became President. At the end of the day, we have it really good and virtually everyone will be worse off if they leave and another country allows them in.
