Obama and Democrats played to those jealousy's. They still do, example, the screaming about Trumps tax plan... they always scream about the rich.

I'm not laughing at you, but then again, I did have to point out that you'll still depend on others. By the way, I also downsized and not buying into the commercialism, not out of hate but for my own financial freedom.

Investors are little more than gamblers, WHY are so many so willing to place them on a pedestal?

My first mortgage was @ 13 1/2% which was actually a good deal at the time. When I paid it off I felt no inclination to send the bank a Thank You card, they were well paid for their gamble. I also see no reason they shouldn't pay taxes on their income as any citizen does. We made a simple business deal, they did nothing from the goodness in their hearts and don't deserve to be treated as if they did.

LOL, who said they did anything out of the goodness of their heart? They invest for profit. Only the left wants more and more of the profit as if they are social institutions. Take the profit motive away and why would they invest and how would you get a job, the products and services you need?

Without their "gamble," there is NO reward of newer and better medical treatments, products, services, people buying homes before they can pay cash in full, etc. How do you not get that?

I don't have rich people. I do however hate people who use their wealth to abuse people. I find the difference to be quite significant.

LOL - the irony is that there has been no "money" (i.e. "lawful money") since 1933. Dollars (gold coin) were confiscated by Saint Roosevelt, and he and congress criminalized the possession of lawful money.
All that remains in circulation are "dollar bills" (Federal Reserve Notes) which are IOUs (debt) denominated in dollars - minus value. Less. Than. Zero.

People should ask why 'Mericans are so sophisticated [/sarcasm] to be fooled into accepting worthless paper in lieu of constitutional money.

But of course, usury (interest) has been denounced as an abomination for "only" 3500 years, so it goes without saying that the usurers (bankers) rule the world. So shut up, sit down, pay and obey.
