You need to turn in your citizenship. In the United States, a free press is so important that the founding fathers put it in the goddam Constitution.
What's next? Trump decides guns are bad, so the second amendment sucks now?
Some of you authoritarian types would really be much happier living under a dictatorship.
Hyperbole much?
Do you realize that Trump has already held more press conferences in 100 days than Obama did in his entire second Presidency? Of course you didn't know that - because you're all FOR secrecy when it comes from somebody you worship.
The issue is not the meeting, it is the fact OUR news people were kept out. Trump is trying to eliminate our freedom of press, and is doing it with no regard to how bad it looks.
A customer said it best today. He said " These things have a way of fixing themselves, Trump is making it so easy to find reasons to get him out of there." Yes he is, more every day. The man is arrogant and has no shame or integrity.
He's not trying to eliminate freedom of press. The reality is they have no right under freedom of the press to have access to him or the White House whenever they want. How often he speaks to the press, answers them or allows them to be present in White House space is entirely up to him.
Last I looked they are not shutting down, but mindlessly/hysterically spinning current events as they always do.
He chose not to allow that in this meeting, knowing how rude they are and how they would disrupt the purpose of the meeting with questions about Comey. He managed the press, as he has every right to do. Better not to let them in than to have to throw them out when that happened as it inevitably would have.
The press at State had the chance to ask questions with regard to the meetings held with the Russians today or to question the Russian ambassador. All they asked about was Comey.
trump supporters lap up the pablum fed them by the WH. No need for a free press in their closed little minds.
That's because they are low information thinkers. They don't comprehend sophisticated concepts like freedom of the press or fair journalism. To them, anything the grabber-in-chief does is ok at this point because he told them that they will be winning bigly....they will be sick of winning bigly. LOL
totally not buying that. Excluding American press, on American soil while inviting the Russian press in, in the middle of a investigation of Russian interference in our election? How can you possibly claim that with a straight face? come on!

This is much ado and outrage over nothing.
OK so he allows in the Russian press? Why? Because they are docile puppies well trained by their Russian overlords? Maybe Trump wishes that the US press is more like that, I am sure. It's just not looking good for the cheetos in chief.
It is more obvious with each passing day that the White House belongs to Putin.
