Right. Try telling Colin K. that he can't be fire. Oops - too late.
He pretty much sucked which is why he isn't playing. Sure, he could possibly be a backup somewhere and cash a decent check, but no one wants the headaches.

Right, nobody is touching him.
My point is, it's naive to believe you have the right to peacefully protest when you're on the job.
But we have a president who has disrespected so many of us. Why should any of us care when he doesn't.
Presidents come and go. So will this one. The last President had little respect, indeed, maybe even contempt, for many of America's traditional values and institutions.
This country - and by that I mean those that came before us - have given us great opportunities and a standard of living that we take for granted.
That should still mean something - enough to show respect.
I personally have no respect for anyone who doesn't show the flag, and through the flag, the country - respect.
But I'm a minority in that regard. But I can tune out - which I have done with the NFL. I've done it with Hollywood. I'm prepared to keep doing it.
You guys have no problem with someone like Michael Vicks abusing dogs yet he got hired. Yet, omg kneeling is a sin that isn't forgiven lol
Many still hate Vick for what he did to dogs. However, he served his jail time, paid his debt to society, and seemingly reformed. He has also now been hired by Fox to do commentary after his comeback in the NFL. We, as a nation give second chances when someone reforms. Is that not OK? This has no relation to current political protesters at all. NONE.
I immediately thought that too when Kap first did it.
When Mahmoud Abdul-Rauf had his protest 21 years ago he simply refused to stand. After a suspension by the NBA he worked out an agreement where he stood but bowed his head slightly with his hands in front of his face as he prayed.
I think a more fitting protest would be to stand but turn your back on the flag. Going to one knee shows reverence as you noted.
Then again, we aren't dealing with rational folks when talking about these athletes.
Well if it's more reverent to kneel then why are you folks making such a BFD about it. If that is so, then why aren't you praising them for their great show of respect? You're right. "We aren't dealing with rational folks when talking about these athletes." It works both ways. LOL.
