They might have actually come up with something decent to present. But that's too much to hope for from these clowns.
Not to mention the 7 years before that.

If they were even half-way serious about this, they would have come up with a proposal that most Rs could agree on, and would have been working to get a few Ds to round them up to a voting majority. Most congress folks are there for the duration. They didn't and don't have to wait for a new election to start gathering their troops. It's not at all uncommon for bill proposals to be in development for years, over multiple terms of the folks involved, until the right deal is struck.

They crammed it through in 2010 - how come 7 years later they are still whining about "fix" with zero efforts during those 7 years to do it???

1) Create an annual $15 billion reinsurance fund. ObamaCare had a reinsurance program for three years from 2014 to 2016 to provide payments to insurers that enroll higher-cost, sicker individuals.

2) Continue ObamaCare's insurer payments, which reimburse them for giving discounts to low-income patients. Insurers have blamed the uncertainty over whether these payments will continue as a reason for their proposed double digit rate increases in 2018.

3)Have "robust marketing strategies" to ensure that more people enroll during open enrollment periods.

4)Allow a buy-in option for Medicare for people nearing retirement age.

5)Expand tax credits by age, geography and income to help people buy insurance. Currently, about 84 percent of ObamaCare participants get a subsidy.

6)Expand the availability of catastrophic health plans that include essential health benefits and coverage for primary care for younger enrollees. These plans, meant to protect people from worst-scenarios, tend to have low monthly premiums and high deductibles.

That fact that YOU haven't read about the proposed "fixes" doesn't mean they are not THERE. It just means that YOU haven't been paying attention.

There are several proposed "fixes" to Obamacare. Some folks may like them, some folks may hate them - but to claim that there are no proposed "fixes" is just plain ignorant.

Thank you Ken.

The answer to all this is very easy ...... it appears to be a given that McCain has killed another attempt at a Health care bill that Democrats refused to participate in and even called out "ALERTS" to destroy it.

So now we should just wait for the ACA "fix" that the Democrats want and vote on that bill when they present it. I promise to write my CongressCritters to urge them to the table to bring the Pelosi/Schumer ACA FIX bills up for debate.

I suggest everyone write their CongressCritters to get them to produce the ACA FIX that the Democrats think is so easy so that the American Citizens can actually SEE what they want.

How hard is that? And WHY won't they do it?

Republicans offered 721 amendments to the ACA during markup, are you saying they did that without reading the bill?

When were Democrats given an opportunity to participate in any of the bills submitted this year? Please just name one.

These lies about ACA are ridiculous.

There were all sorts of hearings, over a 150 R-sponsored amendments, ... Constant attempts at a bipartisan bill.

All for naught as the Rs all voted along party lines.

So take your R-lies and peddle them somewhere else.

Nobody's buying that BS here.

Of course you partisan left wingers won't accept it. Unfortunately for you, the American people know what you did and that you're lying about it now. The American people have lived through the nightmare that is the ACA and that's why Democrats have been fired repeatedly since you passed this ridiculous scheme.

It is comical that the left is now claiming that they tried to work with Republicans. It NEVER happened.

It isn't over until the implosion is over. That will take another year or two.

I love that everything conservatives said would happen with the ACA happened. We were right as usual.
