Ugh, conservatives champion states rights. All this bill does it give the money to the states rather than having the federal government controlling the money. I trust my state government a hell of a lot more than the feds. The federal government is just a large wasteful out of touch bureaucracy.

The US will have a single payer at some point. Or they will have people dropping dead in the streets.

The Republicans are trying to stave off the inevitable, but meanwhile people will have to die.
The problem will be convincing them to swallow a new double digit payroll tax.
Single pay isn't free and isn't cheap.

Conflating two separate issues is a disservice to both.

The bill leaves 32 million human beings without coverage.

The bill redistributes wealth. During ACA, republican governors refused to accept federal funds for expanded Medicare coverage, hurting their own citizens in the process. Now they are happy to accept funding.

Mental health services aren't important until there's a mass shooting. Then folks want to know why the person didn't get help.

Reproductive services aren't important until the teen pregnancy rate, currently at An All Time Low, spikes again. Then it's time to complain about all the freeloaders on welfare and why they didn't use birth control.

This bill is shortsighted at best and criminal at worst.
The "Biased-Partisan" CBO is a Dim swamp rat organization....they have often proved their bias including their biased claims of Obamacaresux.

For every person obamacare helps, it hurts 3....so it's a loser.

My insurance went up 150% in 4 years due to Obamacare so go F*** yourself also. I now pay $1080 a month due to Obama.
You really think it goes *down* after this? News flash, it doesn't.

This is an insightful observation. Since Republicans will be so glad "their guy" got his way, they won't complain at the loss of their coverage or the increase in prices. Blue states will work to address the needs of their citizens because they believe in it. Of course the ultimate joke is the GOP is now trying to promise Alaska they can keep Obamacare as a bribe for their vote.

It definitely doesn't but Republicans think they have inoculated themselves because they said "take your health coverage complaints to your governors". Got that? They take away coverage from millions, then try to blame the governors when people are without health coverage or can't afford it. Never mind that governors are already saying now that millions will be harmed.

Medicare overhead is 3%
Overhead & profit at for profit-enterprises is 18%

Privatization doesn't make anything cheaper.
