its actually sad

Liberals know the difference they just choose to pretend not to as it doesn't fit their agenda. For example, Trump never called Mexicans in general or those here legally, rapists, murderers, etc. he was referring to some that are here illegally. But liberals have been spinning that one for over a year now. They have no shame and not an honest bone in their bodies.

Ad Hominem Fallacy.

It would seem, that yet again, when Trump's haters are given the actual facts of the matter, i.e. That Trump first tried to hire local workers, all they have left is personal insult as this reply I'm responding to demonstrates.

This, BTW was exactly the same argument in the elections forum when it happened last year. (so a rehash) And I do take note you guys avoid that forum like the plague these days.

I'm not "whining" - I'm just pointing out yet another example of our President's hypocrisy.

The point being made in this thread is very clear. Trump doesn't walk the walk when push comes to shove. Not that this is surprising based on past behaviors of his companies.

It has been asserted (through recent tax cut arguments) that when a business becomes more profitable, the wages will go up. That does not seem to be the case when Donald Trump owns the company.
He changed the price of membership back to what it was in 2012, when he lowered it due to lack of demand among the wealthy hanging in Palm Beach who got scammed by Bernie Madoff.

Doesn't mean he's making more profit. For all you know he is recouping losses of the last several years. Not to mention he's taking losses due to multiple orgs. pulling out their charitable events to make political statements.

While completely ignoring the facts of the matter.

This precludes the ability of a worker to work elsewhere.

Bottom line, Mar-a-Lago pays the employee $ 3.71/ HR to forgo other employment opportunities in a seasonally tight local labor market. Where exactly does a worker go during down time if he/ she does not agree to pay Mara-a-Lago $50-75 / week for housing, deducted from the low wage? Notice the ad did not offer board. The employee is responsible for their own food.

The POTUS, who ran on a campaign to put America first/ make America great again and create jobs, offers prospective employees $3.71/ HR, less housing expenses.

Why doesn't Mar-a-Lago participate in the local annual Palm Beach job fair? Could it be that no one in their right mind would apply, when better jobs that pay more are being offered by the competition? How embarrassing.

Mar-a-Lago employs serious hundreds of people, in season. They offer better value proposistions to others than the one advertized, else they would be unable to fill any position.

Mar-a-Lago GAMES certain job descriptions to exclude American workers in favor of legally importing foreign workers.

Ten months in, the job numbers continue a 100 month pattern of very slow, albeit steady recovery. The job numbers continue to fall below expectations and are typically revised downward. The Labor Participation rate declines. Most of the jobs being created are low wage, hospitality and food service positions.

This is what winning looks like?
Additional Abuse is built in the Trump Program, which goes like this.... "If they get hurt", just take what is owed to them and use it to buy and ticket and send them back home..."That's the Trump Indentured Servant Styled Program"

The majority of Americans can't tell the difference between a legal immigrant and illegal. They assume brown and Spanish speaking is Mexican, white is American or legal immigrant. That is the truth. Don't deny it.

How does paying $11.88 an hour result in $3.71 an hour?

if some of you have some experience cleaning and doing other unskilled labor you should apply for a job there. I doubt many would be hired.
