By adulthood, people should have learned enough about life to understand that believing in Santa is harmless fun for kids. Yours is the mindset of a fourth grader eager to prove that she knows more than the third graders.

I like logic and the use of critical thinking. Those who believe in Santa past age 5 will probably grow up to be gullible to conspiracy theories, con artists, fake news, etc...

An accurate fact in public school? That is kind of funny really as that might be one of the few accurate facts the kids will learn in school these days.

There are conversations that school employees should avoid, Santa is one of many that they need to keep their traps shut about!
I agree. My parents had me home schooled when they didn't like how the school was sugar coating with what happened to the Native Americans (my grandpa's best friend was one of the code talkers, and he was so close to the family, we called him uncle)

Some of this stuff being taught that is subjective like beliefs, religions and even some histories, should first be consulted by the parents so they can decide if their child will learn about this at a specific time in their lives.

Yes. I agree. But it seems like all the schools around here worry more about altered fake history and social studies. Probably one of the biggest reasons why American schools are failing compared to other countries.

You sound like someone who never found joy in a child's innocence and wonderment. The world is harsh enough without denying kids the simple joys of childhood.

You think that I'm taking this hard - and then spout off the most ridiculous nonsense possible?
Okeydokes.

Right.
What good is a public schools system that informs children instead of propagates untruths?
Excellent point there.

There is no need, none, to lie to a child for the purpose of "innocence and wonderment". Gmafb. I cannot believe the number of people perpetuating this stuff. No wonder religious mythology stays alive. Gullibility is being defended. The teacher should be lauded for actually doing her job.

I totally agree for example if children believe that babies are delivered by storks. You should tell them the truth and have them watch porn movies in class..

It's not your place to do so & anyone who is an adult, and especially a parent, knows this.

It's Santa Claus. It's for children.

Not the "Hope and Change" & "You Can Keep Your Doctor & save money" type of lies that many adults "believed" in....if you want to talk about being gullible.
