That's the place that use to sell Trump's apparel. As soon as they stopped selling it they went down hill.

It is shocking what is happening to what used to be institutions like Macy's, Sears and other giants of retail.
They used to be the place to go shopping and the reasons why malls became prominent but no more.

I remember the days when the malls were packed with shoppers and you went there the next days and the stores were wiped out of product.

I don't see how anyone can blame Trump for this but I'm sure they will try. It is more like the sign of the times.
I wonder what all the people that work for these big retailers will do when they go out of business?

If the Dems were in power it would be good news because all those people would be freed of their "job lock" and they could go make more money at Mcdonalds with the minimum wage being $15 per hour.

I don't understand why either side tries to make this kind of stuff into a political issue. Things change over time and brick and mortar retail is a dying industry. At one time Blockbuster video and other movie rental businesses were a top performing industry. Try to find one now.

They have very little worth buying, and can’t remain competitive. Macy’s is basically JCPenney with a small polo section. People who want nice things shop elsewhere, and people who want cheap things are better served with the likes of Target, Kohls or H&M. I know people want to blame Amazon, but the entire e-commerce sector is only 13 percent of American retail.

Trump's fault? You can bet if they were hiring 5,000, he'd be taking credit for it.

These closures were announced five months before Trump took office. Try to keep up.
