See FatBob, that is exactly what the DACA bill is about. Allowing those who were taken here as a child to be able to stay legally. And until DACA fully expires, they are here legally. Understand now?
And, if you get your wish and all these DACAs are amnestied, where does it end for you? After all, there will be a new crop of illegal kids who will demand DACA. With chain migration in place, the DACAs will then be sponsoring their parents for green cards. On and on it goes.
How many people will be too many in the US for you? One billion, two billion? India has over one billion people and Bangalore doesn't have enough potable water.
So, DACAs were brought here as kids. Some were in their teens at the time. If DACAs are upset at their predicament, then they need to place the blame for that squarely where it belongs---on their parents.
For all of you who are crying and whining about the poor DACAs---why haven't you taken any into your home and are paying for their immigration lawyers? Put your money where your mouths are.

Keep the gov shutdown til we get end of visa lottery, all chain migration, and our wall, if it means letting 800k apply for citizenship so be it, but absolutely deport the millions of non daca recipients.
DACA recipients are actually more educated and have a higher employment rate than the typical low income US population. Among other requirements, you have to be educated (or military service) with no felonies or repeated behavior of misdemeanors in order to qualify for DACA. Many of our own citizens cannot claim that to be true for themselves.
BS! There has been a lot of fraud in the DACA program. Not all of them went to college. Many never finished high school.
Take a look at the Texas district maps. IMO, both parties do what the voters permit them to get by with.
The whole congress put illegals before all of us. Their refusal to do anything for many years tells me all I need to know. But, their funders had cheap labor.
The districts in Texas have strayed very little from the days Democrats had a stronghold on the state for over a Century.
If you ask me, county lines are good enough to use to represent people, they can also be used to represent people in the US house and State houses.

Not really. Trump et al raised both the DACA and Children Health Insurance issues. That and some other obvious issues prevented the continuing resolution from passing. The Republicans own this one.

Beginning in the 1990's illegal aliens flooded into the construction trades. Stagnated the going rates and made them go backwards.
A job I loved to do and took pride in what I did, I could no longer afford to do. Not that it was a job, no American wanted to do. No American wants to do it at the price now paid. Only people that can be exploited will do it for that cheap.
Price is one thing that is hard to overcome in competition, if everyone is not playing on a level field.
