DACAs are illegal aliens, and are counted as such. There has been NO legal change to their immigration or citizenship status. Their deportation is only temporarily delayed via political "policy," NOT law.
Do you understand that? They're neither legal residents of the US nor legal immigrants.
I'm not arguing that point. Of course their deportation is only delayed.
That again has nothing to do with the article you linked.
No it is not. Makes you liable to be deported but it is an administrative non criminal statute.
Seriously ?
Criminal Penalties
For the first improper entry offense, the person can be fined (as a criminal penalty), or imprisoned for up to six months, or both. For a subsequent offense, the person can be fined or imprisoned for up to two years, or both. (See 8 U.S.C. Section 1325, I.N.A. Section 275.)

Does not apply to children less than 18. So crossing the border is not a crime for such as child.
The Dreamers are perfectly legal and able to work legally. Fact of life. They are not deport-able unless their status is changed. That is true of the Dreamers and any one with a visa.

Sorry, I didn't see you mention age in your original post .....

Incorrect. They're illegal aliens who have a temporary stay of deportation by "policy" only. There is no law that makes them legal US residents. When their temporary stay expires, they are to be deported.

My post is correct. There is a crime for crossing the border illegally. But it does not apply to Dreamers. And in general the illegals caught away from the border are not criminally charged just deported. So being an illegal alien is not a crime. That does not say an illegal alien does not commit a crime when they cross the border or return after having been deported. But the crime is something other than simply being in the US illegally.

Are you seriously unaware of those facts?
They are aliens with permission to be in the US and to work. They are not illegal. Simple as that. Amazing how you can deny the obvious. They do not have a permanent legal status but they are not illegal either.
And it is reasonably obvious that their status will change to a legal one over the next months.
