You really have to be some kind of prick to be THIS up in arms about Dreamers. Let's worry about protecting the border, not deporting these kids. And no, they're not one in the same.

Most of these dreamers aren't kids and were responsible for their own status once they reached 18 1/2. Legalizing them would make it even harder to protect our border because other parents would be bringing their kids here illegally expecting them to be legalized to. Kids shouldn't benefit from their parent's law breaking. You have to be some kind of prick not to want our immigration laws enforced and not to care about the ramifications of illegal immigration to our own citizens.

Alrighty then, Valhallian, I will be a "prick." by all means.
There is more to it then this time around with DACA.
It's the whole picture and history and not to have it keep happening.

"dreamers"
whatever....
Lets get down to business. Trump and the rest of us are prepared to grant legal status to these people who were brought here illegally when they were minors.
What we want in return is 18 billion to secure the southern boarder. and end to chain migration and lottery migration.
we are very angry (I suppose that's what you mean by PO'd)
because of two things.
1. Coward Republicans especially in the Senate that are too scared to act.
2. Because Dems thought they could hold up a CR to get what they wanted on something unrelated to government spending on things already law. (remember when Cruz tried that?)
As everyone but you seem to understand, it takes 60 votes to move most things forward in the senate.

oh I was kind of somewhere between not caring and kind of happy about the shutdown.
my anger is mostly over coward republicans anyway.... much bigger issue than this shutdown. LOL I do appreciate the idea of democrats coming around to the idea that a shutdown is a "nothingburger".

I never dreamed that congress would be so cowardly and complicit in protecting a treasonous prez.
