Temporary. Not permanent. No amnesty. No path to citizenship other than returning to the country of their citizenship and getting in the back of the legal immigration application line.

I'm ok with it if you are referring to dreamers - brought here before the age of 10 by the parents through no fault of their own.
Are you familiar with how fiscally healthy (actually, sick) our nation is? Do you understand why the national debt ($20 trillion and always increasing); the costs of the retiring Baby Boom and the $2.7 trillion SS "Trust Fund" that has a balance of $0; the pensions owed to of millions of government workers; the backlog of infrastructure improvements (to keep bridges from collapsing, etc.)? In other words, that we are incredibly deep in debt, are facing massive upcoming costs, and have an economy totally incapable of dealing with either? When we cannot take care of citizens who have been paying taxes for generations, why would you approve of allowing new costs to continue to flock in?
If we had a manufacturing economy that needed labor, sure--let them in! Their employers would be forced to pay enough for them to live here. But that ended about 1970, after the 1965 Immigration Law allowed a tidal wave of unskilled labor to flow into America from the south, thus destroying the value of unskilled (and later, skilled) labor.
That led to the American taxpayer subsidizing the welfare, education and other costs needed by these people--all so Big Business start destroying the Working Class that had developed into a Middle Class.
Labor had LOST the delicate balance of Labor vs Capital (Big Business), and productivity gains STOPPED being shared with the workers. Before the early 1970s, gains were shared about 50-50--afterwards, Big Business took 100%.
So allowing and encouraging continued immigration today is exactly what Big Business wants (cheap labor), what Big Government wants (dump people who get lots of taxpayer support), and therefore are what Liberal Progressives (which are led by the 2 groups above) want.
If you are a working class person, all you get from immigration is lower wages, higher taxes and less benefits when you need them.

They were given protection against Deportation- as if that was going to happen- by the former President and his pen. This move was extra-judicial and unconstitutional.

The issue is what to do with those already here. That needs to be resolved then we can have the discussion about who to let in. And as long as we have well over ten million illegals we are never going to get our immigration system under control. So legalize mostly and then strongly enforce. The only practical solution.

The libs wont care because it fits their agenda and warped thinking. However the moderates (and whatever conservatives are left) need to wake up and find a way to get back control of their party. Otherwise the Democratic party will cease to be anything but a leftist/socialist/communist agenda party, which will be repudiated by most of America.
