Trump, Spicer, Sanders, Kelly-Anne all denied it, on several occasions.
Aren't you outraged that we were lied to continously by the White House? If they were doing it with something we all knew was true, I can only imagine what else they're lying about.
Edit: Trump called it fake news this morning. You should let him know that we' very known about it since last year. Apparently he didn't get the memo.
I don't agree that it's fake news because it isn't news. I don't think Trump's White House is any more or less honest than other ones were. Diogenes would have given up on Washington a long, long time ago.
The point is, this story is not new. It's true, in some form or other, but it's been known for months.

So why was Hannity denying it for half his episode last night before he confirmed it?
Why were all the Republican talking heads surprised?
Why is Trump still lying this morning and calling if fake news.
You're either really confused, or attempting to lie to us like this administration does on the daily.
Insisting that Trump's administration is about as honest as other administrations is just rubbish.
Not since the Bush/Cheney days have WH staff stood up and lied through their teeth to the public. To be fair, Collin Powell was probably played, but Condoleeza Rice, Rumsfeld, Cheney.. they all knew Chabali was a con man. They knew. They knew that there was no yellow cake from Niger. They knew that outing an undercover operative working on nuclear containment was wrong. They knew and did it anyway.
If Obama had falsely accused Bush of a felony, if his Chief of Staff had stood up and told a bold faced lie about a Republican in Congress, ... if Obama's administration had done even half of what we have come to accept as a daily occurrence in this administration, "Tiki-torch-toting Nazis would have descended on the White House and burned it to the ground."

Here's why Trump's attempt at firing Mueller is important:
Trump fired Comey. Now we have at least one witness who will say, under oath, that Trump ordered Mueller to be fired but rescinded it. What this does is establish Trump's presence of mind, his intent, to obstruct justice and it applies to both Comey and Mueller. It makes it crystal clear Trump wanted to keep firing FBI directors until he got someone that would protect him. This absolutely cements obstruction of justice in stone.

That's ridiculous. Obama's employees in the DOJ and FBI and CIA did much worse than to Trump, and your bizarre scenario did not eventuate.
Would it have been ok with you if Bill Clinton fired Ken Starr?
Before you make such unpatriotic statements, just remember:
Trump asked Comey for loyalty; asked him to drop the Flynn probe; fired Comey when he refused
Trump pressured Sessions not to recuse; pressured Sessions to fire McCabe
Trump pressured Coats, Rogers, Pompeo & multiple congressmen to say he wasn’t under FBI investigation
Trump tried to fire Mueller
Some of that isn't quite accurate, but you have to be extremely biased against Trump to think there's anything wrong with any of that. Certainly none of that comes anywhere close to being a violation of the law.
The Democrats were and are conspiring to remove him from office in the absence of any wrongdoing on his part. He has every right to want to remove the conspirators from office and to end the witch hunt. He has every right to pressure people to admit that he wasn't being investigated, as Comey eventually confirmed. The only question is PR, not right and wrong.
Trump's denial in Switzerland basically confirms that he did in fact try to fire Mueller. He is a serial liar so the opposite of what he usually says is the truth.
