It does nothing of the sort. His intent at any time other than the time a specific act of "obstruction" is committed is irrelevant.

Moreover, it's silly to think that firing Comey would be obstruction of justice. To begin with, the President can't commit this crime the way it is defined, but if we were talking about someone else it would be irrelevant as well because there's nothing "corrupt" about ending an illegal "investigation" in search of a crime. It's the opposite of corruption. It's putting an end to corruption.

Seriously, I don’t see what the big deal this is. I would be seriously shocked if Trump didn’t “try” to fire Muller.

Now what is “try”? He thought about it? He asked around? He ordered his people to do it?

I have no clue and I don’t care either.

Neither do you and neither should you because at end of the day, he didn’t fire Muller.

It's a diversion to keep focus off corrupt FBI officials

And so what if he did fire him? That is within Trump's authority to do that, no question about it.

Four of Trumps staff members were charged already and now the investigation has reached his inner circle. Trump can keep claiming Fake news or these guys were low level coffee boys, but he is a serial liar so who is to keep believing anything he says.

If he did try to fire him, it is more evidence that he has attempted to obstruct justice.

Nothing screams guilt more than firing the person investigating you or your campaign.

Ruddy gave interviews at the time saying the same thing.

WH lawyers are not denying it. Just saying "no comment".

Trump attempted to fire Mueller June 2017 but blocked by McGahn

The usual desperate liberals' Fake News, supported by zero facts, zero references, zero named sources.

You people still haven't realized that it's lies like this disguised as "news", that have resulted in the media's losing any influence they once had over the nation's affairs, have you?
