I don't see anything in that post which indicates Warner asked the Committee for a letter. In fact, Warner didn't even tell the Committee anything about his attempt to meet with Steele until 6 months after the fact. And he only did so then because he knew IG Horowitz had the communications transcripts and could see what had happened.
You're starting to catch on. If you read your post (above) and connect the dots, you would realize that Warner undertook this mission unilaterally (as was stated in post#56).

Why? Why would a sitting US Dem Senator deliberately attempt to collude with the Russians unilaterally in secret instead of acting on behalf of and with the knowledge of his bipartisan Committee? And then when specifically ASKED to act on behalf of his bipartisan Committee, decline to do so?

An American senator, a British citizen, and an American lobbyist. You see collusion with Russians; good for you.
So, Steele... the author of the fake pee pee dossier... and Putin, the Russian government, and other Russian oligarchs are all represented by FARA registered agent Adam Waldman. And then the FBI/DOJ used the fake pee pee dossier to get a FISA warrant to spy on Trump's campaign, transition, and early Admin. Just so you know.

Please, don't move the goalposts. Your statement was that a US senator colluded with the Russians. The senator had no contact with Russians, and was unable to interview the Brit.
Fake dossier? Hardly. Someday when Putin has squeezed all he can out of Trump, you may get to see a disturbing video involving peeing in a Moscow hotel.

I'm moving nothing. Just showing you what the connections are. Steele says he got what we now know is fake info from the Russians. Adam Waldman represents both the Russians and Steele. Don't be daft, man.

Waldman is a patriot, and I have not read anything to the contrary. Steele was in hiding because he felt the Russians might kill him, but he trusted Waldman. Steele didn't even trust Warner; he thought that Warner would leak a partisan version of their meeting to the press. When Warner could not produce a letter from the committee, Steele called off the meeting.
Steele collected much info from Russians, but there is no Warner/Russia collusion. You are making gigantic leaps without any evidence to support your claims.
Waldman is a registered FARA agent, working for Putin, the Russian government, Russian oligarch billionaire Oleg Deripaska, and Steele. Get the connection?
