Oh and by the way, and AR can be chambered in a multitude of calibers , and i'm certain one chambered in .300 Blackout would be sufficient for hunting.
Hmm..nope..just food for the larder. Can a creature be innocent..as that implies that they can be guilty?

I'm at a loss as to your point? It's as though you've not read any of my preceding posts.

I do find your use of sexual/fecal allusion a bit revealing as to your motivations--perhaps you should word your posts more carefully.

This law-making show is nothing more than LOOK BUSY type sheet.
Is it really all or nothing, for you? If you cannot fix it all, every jot and tittle, then no reason to fix anything?

If we could make it..30% better...should we not even try..because we cannot get to 100%?

Oh..and I agree with you..currently the govt. process on this is nothing but show. From Trump to the Congress...R's and D's alike...are just making another Kabuki play. But--it doesn't have to be that way. I suspect that is where we are on opposite sides. Perhaps I'm wrong..but I suspect no change suits you fine, right?

Just in case you missed it..I'm not advocating taking anyone's guns.. slow your heart-rate.

I also don't believe that any regulation, no matter how small..is the start of some long slide of incrementalism until the ubiquitous 'they' come and take our weapons.

P.S. The tyrannical government doesn't have to be our own - Japan didn't attack our homeland because their general said, "There's a gun behind every blade of grass".

Well..while I take your point..somehow I doubt that was the #1 reason..lines of supply...probably played more of a roles--Of course, japan did go for a bit of an excursion off the coast of Alaska. Had their other endeavors been a bit more successful..might have had a bit of invasion there.

Back to the topic..I agree..no-where have you seen me advocate an unarmed populace.

how is it that liberals (and republicans for that matter) can NOT define exactly what an assault weapon is...if they ca NOT define it, how can they logically ban it

It was like..'lets have a meaningless voice vote'...and then...Ooops! Redo...ahhh..back in the arms of Father NRA. "We didn't mean it, really..please don't take your bags of money away...Pullleeesssee!"

But makes ya wonder..was the voice vote miscounted..or did everyone think that they could make a meaningless mark ...so that they could say to their constituencies, "See..I tried."

I bet there was plenty of opportunity for some humor..in that 15 minutes!

What Wikipedia says. Seems like no official definition.

If they passed it, it would have shown them to be insincere in preventing another school shooting.

If they passed it, they would have sat back and said 'our job is done', which would leave the situation no different than before.

the only proposal that would provide some help would be to enforce existing laws, which would have prevented two of the recent mass shootings. NICS check run and the shooters were not in the database. NRA has been advocating these checks for years, falling on deaf legislator ears.

Additionally, the media must cease and desist being the 'u tube how to video for the next killer. The media must stop providing details!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Report the news but show restraint. Don't give the shooters strategy.
