I don't think that people not of that heritage, religion, race or culture have the right to speak to what's cultural appropriation and what is not. Since I'm not Chinese, I can't tell my Chinese friends how, why and when they should be offended about appropriation. People not of that culture's opinion is mute, period.

Kind of ironic that the young man who criticized her for wearing the dress -- Jeremy Lam -- goes by an Anglo name (Anglicized form of the Hebrew name, Jeremiah), instead of an Asian name. Isn't that "cultural appropriation"?
