Post #1. We are talking about vacation homes. Many, many people do not have vacation homes and they manage to make it through life just fine. It is 100% your choice to own a vacation home with the full knowledge that you will be paying taxes without representation. You have to live somewhere. You dont have to live in 2 places.

Unless you are suggesting that a wealthy person with 10 homes in 10 different states should get to vote in 10 different states.
You make a valid point. I spend half my time in the US (not allowed to spend more by your laws, although there is a bill moving through Congress that may extend that to 8 months, which has broad bi-partisan support https://www.congress.gov/bill/115th-...loclr=cga-bill).

As stated, the town I have my US home in has a lot of Canadian snowbirds, and the mayor and council are receptive to concerns raised, even though we can't vote there. It's a pretty good relationship actually.

Post #2. ICE is doing the same job as the Nazi’s? Really? This is so out of left field, I dont even know how to respond.
There is a significant amount of moral turpitude that exists in carrying out orders. Shooting a young girl in the head killing her? Communist guards used to do that along the Iron Curtain. Separtaning children as young as 53 weeks from their parents? In what morality is that right?

Immigrating here is not a need it's a want. Many of these people are walking through stable countries(even coming from stable countries) to come here for economic reasons because we are wealthier. There is no war going on in the western hemisphere these are purely economic migrants. Many of these people voted for the socialists and communists who destroyed the country they're fleeing.

Right. Now let's see your data on this.

(This will be ignored or deflected from. I'm pretty good at prophesy.)

Why would you even need data on this? The majority of the people coming here are poor. The poor overwhelmingly vote for left wing governments. Just about every single south and central american country is ran by left wing governments. Bolivia, Nicaragua, Venezuela, El Salvador, Mexico, etc etc. What do you believe a bunch of conservative private property rights advocates are coming here?

They come from Guatemala, Honduras, etc. Where people go vacation. There's nothing to seek asylum from, it's a phony attempt to come to the US.

The parents already know the risk of trying to enter the US illegally, if you get arrested your children will be separated and not thrown in jail with them. They should be separated from such awful parents that are knowingly risking their children's lives. This is not a hard concept to grasp.

Here's a great video on the exact topic.

Immigrants! Don't vote for what you fled!

It makes no difference if you call them illegal aliens, undocumented immigrants, refugees, asylum seekers, ... these are children and parents.

It is morally wrong. It's so disgusting that even Trump is blaming Democrats for it instead of taking credit for this bold new move.

Interesting to see which of our C-D colleagues are posting in support of this.
Military deployments and Americans going to prison don't have the added sticky wicket of child trafficking. Why do people keep ignoring that problem at the border? We don't know who these people are or that the children with them are even related to them.

What are you suggesting we do with these people? Family prison? I wouldn’t have a problem with that. The only thing I would have a problem with is setting them free in this country to add to the already massive illegal immigrant population. Then you are just inviting more people to bring young kids if they know that a kid is a get out of jail free card.
