What a pig. Thought the perp may have been Harvey Weinstein, but I doubt that he would be slummin' at Denny's...

One year in jail for this? Drug dealers don't get that.

If that waitress repeatedly expressed "no" (body language can be tricky with that), then I agree it is assault.

Clarallel, does bring upt a relevant point of defining "forcible touching". A partial problem is that a law might define a specific offense as happening under specific circumstances. Going with Clarell's example, a random stranger grabbing Clarallel from behind to prevent Clarallel from falling would be "assault" or "unwanted touching". Just as a law can be too vague to define what circumstances constitute when an offense happens, it could also be too specific. Finding a middle ground is difficult.
Oh, come on. Do you really believe what you just said?

Really?

I think most people know the difference between slapping a stranger (male or female) on the butt, and stepping in to prevent someone from falling. People are not that stupid...at least, I don't THINK they are. Mostly.

I don't agree with you often, but I sure do this time. Slapped, or brained with a pot of scalding hot coffee.

Are there really men that want to slap hundred year old butts?

I suspect that was a poor attempt at humor. It wasn't funny the first time I saw it, either.
