... former gun owners would just find OTHER means to ensure protection, such as knives, clubs, swords, baseball bats, automobiles, lawnmower blades, etc.

If people are bent on protecting their families, they will FIND a way.

Sit down. Put a cold cloth on your forehead. Close your eyes. Now listen to David. They are not coming to get your guns. It will never happen. You can sleep peacefully.

My work here is done.

We'd probably have fewer homicides but would be less free in many ways. Of course all of this country's firearms would never be confiscated as criminals would never give theirs up so, in reality we'd see even more crime as criminals weren't challenged.

Yes but what about the criminals that by their very nature defy and break the law? They would not turn in their guns like the good law abiding citizen would.

What I don't understand about the Left is that they pound away telling us that Trump is the next Hitler and that he wants to be a dictator like his new buddy Kim Jong Un and that he is looking to stymie the Rights of all minorities and women too BUT the Left is also all disarming the good people of this country.

One of the first things Hitler did was to restrict gun rights so people would not be able to offer any resistance when he started rounding them up. He also burned books and imprisoned outspoken people.

Trump is Pro Second Amendment and I haven't heard anything about book burning parties except by the Left on college campuses.

They warn us about Trump's plans yet are willing to give up the means to resist if it ever came to that?

Only registered gun owners would have their guns confiscated, whereas the non-registered gun owners would do as they pleased and therefore crime would increase dramatically.
Armed robberies would increase, as thugs would be more confident that their victims would be defenseless.
Shop owners would be attacked far more often, as thugs would not fear retaliation.

No, someone would just come along to supply the demand for guns illegally.

Look at this way, heroin and other street drugs are 100% illegal to possess, distribute or manufacture, the laws against them are VERY tough, but numerous cities and states have major heroin epidemics going on right now...doesnt that seem a little strange? LOL

LOL black market would come in and flood the nation with RPGs and machine guns.
Look how effective it is to move cocaine heroin and other illegal substances.

I don't think you thought this through.

Especially living in a state where records of firearms and their owners is a felony offense...
