Sounds like a man that will soon realize he can’t eat money.
And talk about an over the top exaggeration..

I can picture him as one of the guys that dies in the pyramid because he had to stop and grab as much gold as he could.

Why doesn't it matter? It has to matter!

It doesn't matter because we are simply NOT rolling back the Industrial Revolution to fix it. We are not going back in time, we are not going to refrain from using fossil fuels, and above all, we are not going to engage in global tyrannical redistribution of wealth. None of that is going to happen.

We are going to adapt to the new conditions. That IS what is going to happen. And that is what IS happening now.

Even if billions die, we are not going to accept tyranny or theft as a way of life. Better dead. A life of tyranny and redistribution is not a life worth living, and not a life worth leaving, to our children and grandchildren.
Oh there will be plenty of redistribution, whether you like it or not. Taxes will go up massively to relocate entire cities inland, feed the massive numbers of refugees from tropical zones, beef up the military to deal with the inevitable geopolitical crises, install huge new irrigation projects to prevent the Midwest from turning into a desert, etc.

You’re going to pay for adaptation to global warming, and it won’t be cheap.

There will also be fabulous wealth generated as a result of all the business and military activity. Don't sell AGW short, there are tremendous possible upsides.

Isn't it? I agree. When scientists become social justice warriors and abandon the scientific method in favor of the collectivist agenda.

At least it's well worded but that post reeks of hysteria. The need to "feed the massive numbers of refugees from tropical zones" would come from endemic misgovernment, not from AGW. As far as relocation of cities, New Orleans, Houston, Galveston, Corpus Christi and Miami have always been one hurricane away from annihilation. Not sure about Mobile and Biloxi, or other cities on largely flat coastal plains. There is no evidence of desertication of the Midwest other than period droughts which occur when summertime high pressure ridging develops and persists.

In any case, we've established that we will not be rolling back the Industrial Revolution. In fact, as we see in the transformative miracles of India and China over the past few decades, mankind is doubling down on industrialization and progress. And I am glad to see that.

“My existence as a mere slave is a cruel one, no one should endure this life” - Said Marc as he went to sip some expensive wine.

As he looked out his balcony in his silk robe with golden embroidery, he thougt to himself “How long can I go on? Will I ever find any relief from such a tortured existence?

Marc decided to weep in solitude within the confunes of his Bugatti.

I guess that's true for some -not everyone has what it takes to be a survivor.
