I know it's hard to understand, but vacant land doesn't vote. If my husband and I both vote for candidate A and you color in our 1/4 acre lot blue, and you and your spouse both vote for candidate B and they color your 100-acre farm red, it doesn't mean that candidate B has more support. It just means that you have more land.
Keep in mind that less than a quarter of Americans voted for Trump. Also, well less than half of actual voters voted for Trump. In fact, Clinton got 3 million more votes. Due to the electoral system, a farmer in Idaho's vote is worth more than that of a city worker in Los Angeles, which is why Trump won the election. It's not because more people voted for him. Millions and millions more who were eligible to vote actually did NOT vote for him.

The OP's Reuters link in the very first post of this thread says 1000 people were at the blimp flying event. The Reuters link that you just posted also says there were 1000 people at the blimp flying event. The blimp event is what this thread is about. If you wish to expand the discussion to include sub-protests and whatever else is happening there then go right ahead. But please do try to focus your zesty fight mode just long enough to stay on topic here.
And what later Reuters links said is: Around 1,000 people gathered to watch the blimp launch in Parliament Square
It's like many go to Central Park to watch Macy's balloons launch, many 1,000s more watch them parade through the city.
Ya see Jeff, it's a bit of fun. If you can't laugh at politicians, what can you do with them? All Donald had to do, is say something like, "looks just like me." If he did that, the English would love him. Well...... more than do now.
We like folks who can laugh at themselves. Very few sociopaths can do this though.
I remember watching people in crowds throw eggs and tomatoes at politicians in England when they were pissed off. It was hilarious--I love that Brits do that. If we did that--we'd be arrested.

We used to do that. Tar and feather them too. But now they have made themselves a protected class that answers only to the wealthy. They get body guards at public expense if someone so much as kicks their lying asses out of a restaurant.
