But Conservative and Democrats alike are glued to their screens (me included) watching a team of teenaged soccer players rescued from a flooded cave in another part of the world. Funny that.
I find very little fault with our Administration. They can certainly do a better job, but they do not deserve the amount of criticism they are receiving. There are Americans here busting their asses to do a good job and care for these children, whose own parents put less effort into their concern of when they brought them here illegally.

Its so much more difficult and righteous to post outrage on a forum, without even suggesting a viable alternative policy, and many of these heroic Lefties are even able to muster the strength and courage to change profile pics on social media and signal how oh so virtuous they are. Hope and Change!

The alternative (in this case) is to not separate children.

I'm not a "lefty" but this makes the most sense to me:
Implement E-Verify with stiff penalties on employers for violations.
Make it easier for immigrants to come to the US legally.
Provide a straightforward way for the immigrants already here to become resident aliens and have them pay back taxes.
Don't separate children from their parents while they are waiting for deportation/asylum hearings.

That sounds reasonable to me. I don't know why our politicians can't come up with something similar. It's ridiculous, really.
Please show me where Dems as a whole want open borders for all. Maybe one or two might want that, but the majority don't. They just want common sense immigration laws. So yes, this Dem is claiming to the contrary of what you're stating.

Just because you see issues as partisan doesn't mean everyone does. Also, if your mind processes things from a more conservative viewpoint you have no clue how my liberal mind is. Unless you ask me, then you can get a sense of where I'm coming from.
