They come to a place that is more tolerable for their living conditions and they want to turn that into a place similar to what they just left. That doesn't make sense to me.
People get what they deserve at that point.
So they move to areas like Charlesotn SC -- which are blue -- oooohhh ---

By that same logic, you know when leftist say "socialism" what they really mean is a mixed market economy with true safety nets, and yet you choose to demonize them instead of having a real conversation because we all know most people actually support that model, the problem is paying for it and transitioning from a private sector to public sector solution when it comes to healthcare, education and housing

They call the right fascist. Then they cannot even see the socialism they push, is fascism.
World Socialism, or National Socialism? The same goal. Fascism.
You really think liberals are going to move to places like rural Arkansas?? Please.
If anything, the infiltration from people fleeing red states to blue states is part of what's driving up housing and creating our homelessness.
This. Seattle is suffering from a level of growth that is ridiculous. When we see a Texas license plate (the number one contributor to our growth, followed by California) our eyes glare at them. We are full people, try Idaho or Montana!!!
This is why you guys need liberals to interpret data for you guys. It's painfully obviously that logic and higher thinking is not the Right's thing.
Residents are leaving blue states... for other blue cities!!!
The top ten cities for Californians leaving for are: Seattle, NYC, Austin, Atlanta, Las Vegas, Dallas, etc. All very blue.
Dallas is very blue? Actually Texas is the state getting the most Californians moving of any state. Arizona is also in the top 4.

In NW Arkansas Fayetteville was ranked the third best place to live behind Denver and Austin in 2016. It is surrounded by a very rural part of Arkansas.
I am about 3 hours west of there and seeing many more California plates than last year. Saw a SUV packed to the gills pulling a uhaul into town. They ended up moving in down the street from me. Two neighbors I know moved from California within the last couple years, and one from Vegas. In fact the other day I was on a rural two lane road and passed 10 cars. Two had California plates. It was not a tourist area so I have no idea why they were here. Here you don't have front plates so the out of state ones stand out.

No
From 2016 to 2017 five million people moved to California from other states and six million moved out to other states. The population increased by about 300,000 because 1.3 million people moved to California from other countries. So no, people from red states are not making California more crowded. You need to blame the immigrants for that. But you probably won't.
Liberal policies dont restrict residential construction in the way that you are arguing. Cities are for the most part already developed. what you are actually talking about is demolishing old buildings/homes and building new ones.
I fail to distinguish how refusing to let people build a large enough building on empty ground to meet demand and refusing to let people build a large enough building after demolishing a smaller, older building to meet demand are functionally different. Either way you end up with insufficient real estate to meet demand and prices zoom upward, which as a bonus to the direct housing costs takes cost of living as a whole up if and when it gets bad enough.

Red states are gaining population and with that growth more electoral votes, but most of the domestic growth in those states is in minority population. Are the blue state movers ideologically conservative and likely to keep red states red despite growing minority population, or are they bringing their blue state politics with them?
The only way to tell is to watch R margins in future elections.
The other thing to consider is where those blue state refugees are relocating in red states, which tends to be in the bluer areas of those red states.
It looks like Collin Co. TX (N. Dallas Suburb) will remain Republican for the foreseeable future. Still, this is the usual pattern of metro areas you see everywhere - suburbs are more conservative than the central city. However, unlike most central cities and counties, Dallas Co is not losing population and neither is the county. Both had a slight drop in 2009, but since 2010, both resumed their steady rise.
They’re so worried about global warming that they are moving to warmer climates.
