They ostracized the very dark African woman and her baby because the baby was 1/2 white. That is the very definition of racism. Why are you trying to excuse it?
That poster is notorious for blaming the white devil when it comes to the actions of others.
LMAO at the poster who said Mexican is both a nationality and a ethnicity. It's a nationality, the ethnicity is Hispanic, their race is both black and white.

This is incorrect Hispanic is a made up ethnicity in the USA. The jokes on you you're commenting on something you don't understand.
Except that this isnt racism as Mexicans are one ethnic group. It is in fact, colorism.
Further, the american liberal, is much more likely to be aware of colorism as evidenced by this very thread. Finally, having a different skin tone, while still being a member of the majority does not make one a minority.
Wrong, wrong, wrong. Mexican is simply a nationality. Me thinks you have an agenda with you're wording, but can't be certain. Lemme ask you a question, do you believe that anyone can be racist and bigoted regardless of their skin color or ethnicity? Just want to establish a baseline. Thanks
I have heard people saying Spanish Mexicans and Indian Mexicans . First time i am hearing about Afro Mexicans.
I drive a school bus....and have several darker skinned Spanish heratige on my bus who often go to Mexico.... I did ask from curiosity last year..... and the confirmed the bias.... at times and places it can be extreme. The "perfect" brown is apparently a light mocha shade.
Same reasons as everywhere else....the light skin is a throwback to the days of servant and upper class.... upper class didn't go out in the sun and get tan/darker. While the upper class/rich/royalty rarely went out in the sun and worked. It goes thru every culture.
