Its exactly the same. Brennan is now a news analyst, pundit, commentator, whatever. You'd be screaming until passed out if Brennan's journalistic peers, say a Shawn Hannity or a Tucker Carlson were issued equal clearance.
Doubtful - John Brennan couldn't get confirmed as CIA Director in 2009 because the "Libs" revolted.
He is a "HERO" now because he calls President Trump "treasonous" (ie Hang him High).
At this point - What Difference does it Make?
Any of them that want a "Revoke" letter ..... Give it to them and add as Cause - "By Request".
Any of the others that qualify for "Cause" under Statute or Previous Presidential E.O's - List the Cause.

“Director Brennan’s recent statements purport to know as fact that the Trump campaign colluded with a foreign power. If Director Brennan’s statement is based on intelligence he received while still leading the CIA, why didn’t he include it in the Intelligence Community Assessment released in 2017? If his statement is based on intelligence he has seen since leaving office, it constitutes an intelligence breach. If he has some other personal knowledge of or evidence of collusion, it should be disclosed to the Special Counsel, not The New York Times.
If, however, Director Brennan’s statement is purely political and based on conjecture, the president has full authority to revoke his security clearance as head of the Executive Branch.â€
Interesting ..... Senator Burr (R) has his own problems. Maybe he is just working that out.

Probably not -- it was a good long time ago.
Many years ago one of the original members of the ACLU lived down the street from me. He and I had some interesting conversations about them and the law yet in the end, he agreed with me that they strayed from their original mission and went far astray from their intended job of protecting civil liberties and championing the downtrodden.
This saddened him greatly...
