You know, you're right. At this point in time it all hangs on corroborating evidence, but Trump is now in a binary situation. If there's no evidence, he's off the hook. If there is evidence, he's cooked. Trump just lost the benefit of have a grey area to work within.

But-but-but...you said in a previous post in another thread that you favored having a dictator as our national leader rather than an elected president.

What do you think Bolshevist Russia was??

Should have been right up your alley, since you like dictators and all, rather than representative government. Unless you're changed your views over the last couple of weeks..

Well - except that he was broke and lost his consulting job...which was AGAINST democracy (for the Russians against Ukraine) and so he latched onto Trump to get a payday. He was already starting to sell government jobs.....

We will never know how "highly recommended" Paul came from his Russian friends...to the Trump folks, but we do know they are all in touch.

So it's really a matter of convictions and indictments vs. common sense and logic...and all the other stuff. No doubt they both are involved with selling their countries and western interests for a buck.

But, yeah, Cohen is definitely closer quicker....because he just admitted the payoffs were election fraud for "A Federal Candidate for Office" - meaning Trump.

Much of this depends....on you using your experience to project. When a drug dealer is caught with a shipload of cocaine, was that his first and only crime? When a gangbanger sprays bullets in a drive-by, is he involved with breaking the law? No, not until he is caught. Until then, the guns are legal - maybe he has a CC license and maybe he was standing his ground.....

I think common sense goes a long way in these matters.

Can anyone say Watergate?
Mueller is playing the long game...and appears to be a master at it.
Watergate was also a methodical investigation that took years to come to fruition.
If Trump cannot pardon himself would a President Pence do the honors...as President Ford did for Nixon?

Well, there are also those pesky taped phone conversations.

Knowing Cohen's legendary proclivity for keeping everything he ever touched, I'm sure it was seized in the raid, and even more sure he knows where to look to find it readily. Might even be a tape recording of it.

Could be. If he isn't indicted along with the rest, that is...

A felon who was Trump's attorney...and who is claiming that he became a felon for acts committed at Trump's direction

So which is it? Does Trump hire the "best people," as he claims, or does he surround himself with felons?

Did he mean the best at committing felonies?
