Cohen's crimes were domestic and intended as cover-ups of Trump's pay-offs to his lady, um, make that "female" friends in order to enhance his assumed role as an ethical presidential candidate.
As such, Cohen was clearly corrupt but was not treasonous. His actions did not directly impair the stability and safety of our government and country nor were they intended to do so.
On the other hand, Manafort's crimes involved illegal quid pro quo dealings with a corrupt government distinctly hostile to American interests. His actions assisted that corrupt government to illegally infest our election process and as such, Manafort engaged in treason and is a traitor. He offered aid and comfort to our enemies.
Cohen offered (for a price) aid and comfort to Trump - big difference.
Much more evidence of this will emerge in Manafort's forthcoming second trial.
Today's sentences were appropriate, given the relative seriousness of each individual's crimes.

If Trump cannot pardon himself would a President Pence do the honors...as President Ford did for Nixon?
Don't forget Ford was a late-comer as Veep - Spiro Agnew's downfall preceded that of Nixon. As may be the case with Pence, though he's no Agnew.
