That school really taught the teacher and the kids a life lesson...
The kids learned that they don't have to do their work and they will still get credit.
The teacher learned that there are dire consequences for caring about the kids and their future.
It is also correct to fix the stupid rule she hated.
Two separate issues.
I agree with this sentiment. She should have followed the policy but fought to change it if she wanted to keep her job. We all have to do what we are told at work or face the consequences. Now if she did not care about being fired she now is bringing a great amount of attention to this policy. I have no problem with her using her firing to promote her POV on the policy but she was not fired unfairly. She made a choice to put her job on the line to protest a bad policy. Something tells me she totally understands this and knew what she was doing.
this is pathetic and a smear upon the educational system, and how crooked it is...whoever fired her, ought to be fired...and replaced and this should never, ever happen again.
