We have a President who is spelling/ grammar challenged, despite being educated by exclusive private schools and a top university, 50-60 years ago.

This is not a Trump rant. Rather, it demonstrates education standards have been “ accommodating” in the public and private sector, since forever.

I wonder if they do it so they can monkey with (no racial meaning intended) the data on graduation rates by ethnic group?

That seems to be the motivation behind all these wacky or nonsensical schemes, because there is no actual academic benefit to these kinds of lax policies.

In Oakland, the school board refused to apply the standard disciplinary schedule to black students because it led to too many of them being suspended from school. So they gave them a pass on "willful defiance"...and the results of course, were predictable.

There is no academic reason for such a policy, and it creates a hazard for other students and of course for the teaching and administrative staff who are left powerless and ineffectual.

Anyone know if this school is attempting to socially engineer a facade of racial equality with this move?

Just for the sake of humor, you should have written it like this: "We hav a Prezident who is spellin/grammer challenged, despite being edukated by exclusiv privet skools and a top universitie, 50-60 years ago."

Wrong!

I believe the children are our are future
Teach them well and let them lead the way
Show them all the beauty they possess inside
Give them a sense of pride to make it easier
Let the children's laughter remind us how we used to be

LOL.

You have to wonder if she wrote that after Bobbi Brown was slapping her around.

50% is still an F. IF a student didn't do any work for the whole semester and received 50% they would still have an F and fail the class.

However, I do think its a silly policy and even sillier to have it written down because now the general public knows the policy exists.

I'm not in favor of this kind of school policy, but when you have people like Trump at the top, our march towards Idiocracy doesn't seem too far off.
Trust me. It was LIBERALS who put this policy in place.

The abilities of the current elected officials in charge has nothing to do with this story. Although I find the school systems policy absolutely ridicules the teacher accepted the position and the rules that she would be teaching under, the firing is justified even if it qualifies for a Darwin Award.
