I'm always amused by the always angry Trump obsessed opposition. They think about him more than his supporters who are just happy living their much improved lives.

Any normal person should be angry with Trumps response the day after a fire in which almost 50 people were killed, criticism of his statement should be bipartisan but instead his supporters attempt to rationalize the actions of a crazy person.

Day after? The fires are still going. Last I heard was about 30% or so contained and official death count was 44 and expected to rise. The Camp Fire is now the deadliest in CA history. Even if the deaths were all on the day before, it's not like the danger was and is over.

As California Burns,Liberal Gov. Jerry Brown Takes Heat For Vetoing 2016 Wildfire Mitigation Bill
Terrible , who knows how many lives and property could of been saved
Voting Dem too often leads to death and destruction.

California Gov. Jerry Brown’s decision to veto a 2016 bipartisan bill aimed at mitigating wildfire risks from power lines and utility equipment has become the focus of critics as fires rage across the state.
Wildfires have scorched more than 221,000 acres across California since Thursday, and Brown’s critics are pointing to the two-year-old veto as news reports suggest power lines may have sparked the deadliest wildfire in California’s history.
Cal Fire also blamed PG&E power lines and equipment for deadly wildfires that ravaged northern California last year. Those 16 fires killed at least 44 people and destroyed hundreds of structures.

When you hike in the national parks in CA, you can see gross mismanagement of the land. Everywhere, there is a large amount of fallen timber that is an massive kindling box. It is amazing to see the amount of wood on the ground in the Sierras.
Fires are a part of the natural ecosystem. New growth and propagation of many species (including Sequioas) requires fire.
Frequent smaller fires prevent the very large, out of control fires we are seeing now.
Sounds like it may have been a duplication of efforts already in the works, though.
"In a written statement explaining his decision, Brown said a process that began in May 2015 with the utilities commission and Cal Fire is already in place for addressing issues present in SB 1463. The two groups examine fire-threat maps and fire safety regulations on areas with overhead utilities facilities, he wrote."
