Yeah. Amazing negotiator that guy.

Why did they need 60 votes? It never got to him...why?

Indeed, when the Dems’ offer – wall money for DACA – came to the Senate floor, it received 54 votes,

Why did it need 60 votes?

I was reading an article this morning about how the Vet that started this go fund me campaign harvested a lot of emails, which activity he has done in the past. Your email address is probably being sold, or at least provided to Republicans and like organizations.

GoFundMe is refunding the money people sent in. However, some supporters sent personal checks directly to the veteran. Whether they will get a refund remains to be seen, but I harbor doubts.

You might find answers if you read and listen to other news sources than Limbaugh or Fox. Just sayin. What was the vote in senate? Did McConnell have a vote or did McConnell relinquish his powers to trump instead?

President Trump has a choice. Democrats in Congress have offered to provide billions of dollars for one of his signature campaign proposals: a wall (or something akin to it) along the U.S.-Mexico border. But in exchange, they want a provision that would grant protection from deportation and create a path to citizenship for young undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. as children. In other words: Trump can have the wall, but he must accept what his political base will very likely call an “amnesty.” Or, he can pass on the whole thing.

So far, Trump has opted for no wall and no amnesty. And I think he is making a logical and perhaps even smart political decision

That's the border fence project that's been under construction for a dozen years now.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Fence_Act_of_2006

Not at all the wall that tRump wants.

Of course, now that he knows he'll never get his wall, he's squirming and trying to convince you that the Dubya fence is now his "wall."

So much winning.

If McConnell had a vote on it, it would have had over 60 votes. But McConnell has prostrated himself to trump instead of using the power of the majority GOP. Sucks to have wimp losers for your leaders, doesn't it?

I think they should pass a special "wall tax" that targets the top 1% income bracket. In other words, let the top 1% pay for the wall. 5 billion divided up like that would be barely noticeable to them. They would probably even support the tax since they could lose even more than that if the shutdown continues.

Again, why did they need 60 votes? If you answered honestly, well....we all know better than that....
