It was a longshot as it sits before the shutdown, but they are stupidly shooting themselves in the foot e very single day that insist on this petty obstructionist nonsense. Why dont they see that?
Has Trump offered the dems something in return?

Does he think he's going to get a full $5B and not offer anything to the dems?

You do know how negotiations work..............................right?

Why do you continue to lie? The Republicans in the House passed a bill to fund the wall. Republicans in the Senate did so as well, with a majority. However, Senate Dems couldn't accept that and invoked filibuster rules, which require 60 votes to pass. Dems shut down border security efforts aimed at protecting American citizens and overwhelmed the majority of the Senate.

I am glad that President Trump is standing firm on the Border Wall. This is what a real leader looks like.

It was worth it for him to become President for this reason alone.

It's all about tRump's desire for border drama.

It also keeps Russiagate out of the headlines.

Thank you! It was brilliant of the President to televise the negotiation with Commissar Pelousy and upChuck Shumer--to see their true intentions when it came to protecting our border

But what if he never gets the wall. Then he failed massively as a President.

That's the problem.

For him now it isn't about the best way to secure the border, it is saving face.

Yeah, you always start out asking much more than you really need...this gives you room to negotiate down. If trump says the total cost is $5B...its probably really around $1B or less.

The Senate initially passed a continuing resolution without funding for the wall, when Trump changed his mind on it again after the talk show circuit weighed in the House shifted gears and passed a bill with wall funding. Forget a filibuster, the Republicans in the Senate didn't even have the 50 votes required to pass the House bill.

Sadly, nothing will change until some liberal New Democrat or Hollywood Elite

is directly effected by the actions of an Illegal Alien

I would really doubt that the children of Illegal Aliens have had any

inoculations putting American children at more of a risk

For some of us who have been effected it's hard to comprehend why
anyone would not want to have a secure border
