McConnell needs to bring the bill passed in the House up for a vote in the Senate. That's the way it works.

If Trump vetoes, then so be it. That's the way it works.

The bill goes back to Congress to see if they have enough votes to override Trump's veto. That's the way it works.

The federal government is shut down because McConnell won't do his job, and Republicans are letting him get away with it.

Yep. McConnell is an awful politician and an even worse person. He's an obstructionist.

I am sure if they do that, JM & the WH will work towards ending the shutdown.
Incorrect. Trump wants a wall, wall, wall and he won't accept anything but that. But even with the $5.7 billion he won't get it. It's no wonder nobody wants it. $5.7 billion isn't going to buy the wall. It will buy 20% of the wall, maybe, IF the contractors stay within budget (and has any contractor ever stayed within budget?) If Trump wants a wall that badly he should reach into his own pocket and buy one. Because he can afford it. Or get Mexico to pay for it. After all, they were going to in the first place

The ball is in their court to start the process.
Once again, they have started the process.

Surely, you are aware that the House passed several bills including short-term funding for DHS while they continue negotiating border security.

McConnell refuses to bring it to a vote until he has Trump's word that the will sign.

Trump's word is worthless.

And his "negotiating" consisted of walking out of the room.

So here we are.

And The Turtle fell in line, party over country. What a weak person who needs to be removed as Senate President for progress.

How would this process happen?

I think the the Senate Republican Caucus could oust him with a simple majority vote, but who would they elect in his place?

Last one had $0 for border security.

McConnell did the right thing not bringing it to a vote.

Trump walked out when NP said "No funding border security".

President Trump did the right thing.

Happy 23rd Shutdown Day.

Idiot in Chief shouldn't have walked away from the bill that had 1.6-1.7 in it last year.
