I don't care about college activities, that were legal. Kids aren't known for good decision making. I think he should resign because of his ad he ran smearing his opponent, showing immigrants being chased/run over. And because of his stance on the life of babies. And also for lying about his yearbook page...1st it was him and he apologizes, then it's not him, and somehow it was just put there on his page...
Steve King is still a congressmen. Cindy Hyde Smith is still a senator.
They were elected. Their respective States can elect someone else next time.

Accept it wasn't his ad. The Latino Advocacy Group independently produced and ran that ad without his endorsement in response to Gillespie's ads that painted all Virginia Hispanics as MS-13 members. They were pissed and they did the ad. Northam conveyed that he understood why they would run the ad. But the ad did not have his endorsement and anyone can run any ad they want.
Many mainstream churches held minstrel shows with performers in blackface. Not once did anyone associate that performance with hate, fear and bigotry.
Never in a million years did anyone think it was degrading to blacks.
So now activists teach people to be offended by every imaginable way they can.
Dare any white person attempt to pretend to be a black performer, they now must 'die'.
Yet dem sen byrd, a member of the KKK became an esteemed member of the democrats.
What we have here is politicized weaponry, filled with lethal shot, giving a death sentence for being alive in cultural transition. Ignore the greater segment of the person's conduct and destroy them for one incident deemed racist by applying today's template against yesterday's behavior. No mercy! forgive felons who committed murder, demand for them voting rights. Destroy anyone who appears in a high school or college year book that by today's standards is unacceptable. Ignore their decades of behavior with no racist evidence.
The internet and instant communication is responsible for the instant daily regulations activists send out to alert to new offenses. Many people alive today have never been without instant communication. Many can't even recognize a hardwired telephone.
Do not forget it wasn't until the late 1990s that instant communication began to spread.

Today, cable, sports, news, weather is all about predictions. As if everyone wants to be the Delphic oracle or a miss cleo with a 900 number. So any single word or act is now used to make an assumption that something deeper and hate filled lurks in the heart of the accused. Likewise if a person were to use a medical term, like oophorectomy, by today's standards, would be thought to be a doctor. Makes no sense, destructive and divisive. Even hate and fear mongering democrats need to be defended in these cases.

Holder should have mentioned he was baiting people to be charged as racists for being honest and speaking their mind. the more the discussion is suppressed the deeper the divide. I have yet to hear about ANY of the MANY things in WVA taking Robert Byrd's name off.
They have gone after statues, paintings, school names etc.
Where is the NAACP and the rest of the race hustlers going after things with HIS name on them?
Why hasn't any of the "media" asked these people complaining now, why THEY haven't gone Byrd things?

I do agree he should step down. But most importantly, the left and even conservatives must accept his apology after accepting his resignation. But my issue with those who want him to resign. How will the governor resigning eliminate racism, white supremacy, white male privilege, male privilege and sexism? This is a question for those in the intersectionality sector must answer.

An open air rally has nothing to do with their actual numbers, thats simply people who dont care what you think of them.
There are plenty of racist people who live their lives everyday and never draw attention to themselves.
