Many famous buildings in Britain have faced fire and indeed war but have been restored, and a lot of historic buildings have been fire proofed in recent years after a spate of fires over the decades.

The famous York Minster Cathedral in the UK was restored after a fire in 1984, and they used new materials and methods in order to make sure it never happens again.

Windsor Castle was also restored after a fire in 1992.

The Mackintosh Building in Glasgow is also currently being restored after a fire last year which was caused by contractors repairing the building after a previous fire in 2014.

There are thankfully a lot of very clever and talented people in terms of such restorations and companies that specialise in such restorations and replace the buildings with fire resistant materials and fire systems, as well as new electrics.

Carlson said that? What an idiot. Notre Dame is an architectural wonder and a cultural, historical, and religious icon to millions of people from all over the planet, even non-believers like myself. I say rebuild it.

Why would a mosque make more sense in a country where 52% of people are Christians, and muslims are a small minority?

Sure seems like FOX is just trying to fan the anti-muslim sentiment again.

If Carson said that, then he is an idiot.

It does not add up.

Notre Dame means "my lady", which refers to the Virgin Mary, who is a very important figure in islam. She is considered the most righteous woman in their religion. Her name is actually mentioned more often in the quran than it is in the Bible.

They've let Islam conquer their nation. Without a shot ever being fired.

France is very anti-Christian.

I say build a Mosque in NDs place...maybe then (not likely, but maybe) the French cu-ks would wake up to their country being taken over by a foreign alien invading people.

The current work that was being done is part of that. To do otherwise would mean it would be under almost constant renovation. There was never any issue of the building being structurally sound. France is not Brazil.
Many parts of the structure and in disrepair, long overdue but they did have some fire monitoring whereas Brazil hade none.

And the Bible says thou shalt not kill, so much for religious scripture.

How do you figure considering the muslims are a minority by far?

Don't believer everything you read in Breitbart, InfoWars and FOX.
