Hold on there lets not take ourselves off the hook. Americans were making so much off the German war machine that we didn't care about the Jews in Europe and we declined to take them in the USA. We like to re-write history in this country and pretend we were always backing the Jewish people.

I never said that America cared much about the Jews. At that time there were judenrein neighborhoods in USA and numerus clausus in the universities.

Her point is that while the Jews suffered persecution at the hands of the Germans, so too did the Palestinians suffer persecution at the hands of the Jews when the Jews came back for Israel post-Holocaust.

And both are true. What's wrong with admitting that? Playing dumb may make for convenient partisanship, but it is, well...dumb. One group's suffering doesn't deny or negate the other's.

Even Tlaib can't really believe the revisionist bulls**t she was spouting.

That "warm fuzzy" She gets from a "one-state solution" is couched in her belief the Jews would receive the same murderous treatment today from the Palestinians as they did in the 30s and 40s.

If a White American guy said this, chances are that he would be deemed an anti-Semitic Alt-Right member.

We end up with pelosi, waters, and warren when you let idiots get away with saying as much crap as they want without ever being questioned and their crap gets bought into for 30+ years.

If a liberal said that it gave them a warm feeling that Harriet Tubman helped rescue thousands of Slaves from their white captors, a bunch of republicans would find a way to say that they are anti-white racists.

If a liberal said it gave them a warm feeling that a white family aided the defense of Sitting Bull while his people were slaughtered, a republican would find a way to call that person a traitor.

It doesn't matter what a liberal says. When the filters of the world are clouded with hate and fear, then that's all a person is going to see, and I'm pretty sure that anyone still supporting Trump is clouded with hate or fear (or ignorance). You really just CAN'T read that quote, the whole quote, and think she is saying that the Holocaust itself gives her a warm feeling.

Even into the 70s, there were country clubs that forbade Jews and realtors who bragged about keeping Jewish families to a minimum in new developments. And this wasn't in Podunk. It was in a suburb of Washington, DC.

Yup. Her one-state solution is tantamount to wiping Israel off the map. I'm sure that thought gives her the warm fuzzies.

Her initial comment is poorly worded but clearly not as portrayed.

However, that's politics for you and if someone in the Trump admin had said it then we'd just have the idiots switch sides of the table.

Her claim about them being welcomed is BS.

I'd further note that even in counties without a big settlement like post ww2, non-muslims have been forced out with violence. Heck, even muslim groups of the wrong flavor have faced extreme attack and violence.

P.S. Democrats are going to force her out next election if they can.
