How is supporting DACA an ‘illegal push’, cause that’s about all they want to see passed. This ‘Dems are for open borders’ is pure BS.

They want the US to follow the existing asylum laws- what the hell is wrong with that?

Don't write him off. It sounds like he does have a job and is not some hippie. From my experience, most of my Democrat neighbors should be Republicans, but they've been brainwashed by the so-called MSM. Case in point, I had a neighbor message me saying how upset she was that those boys from Kentucky treated that Native man so badly in Washington. I had to explain to her what happened and point her to some real videos, because she'd gotten her 'news' from CBS or something.

Afterwards, she thanked me and acknowledged she had been fooled, but didn't put it together that it had been the MSM that had fooled her.

It's very sad that Americans have been socially manipulated to pull away from their creator. The only one who will never let us down. How true that Christianity has been diminishing but for more like 60 years.

I'm a Democrat and lean left on most issues, but pandering to Hispanics through the illegal immigration issue is probably the #1 reason Hillary lost the election. Maybe the long game it plays out the other way, but that may take 15 years to see fruition..meanwhile Trump could win again.

A country has a right to control it's borders. To call everyone who supports that position a racist or xenophobe is hyperbole and bad politics. I realize that's what Hispanic groups and "one world" leftists support ....virtually open borders..... and that's why the party caters to that position. Rest assured, that was the position that turned the election to Trump.
Except that

"The number of unauthorized immigrants living in the United States has dropped to the level it was in 2004, and Mexicans are no longer a majority of this population."

https://www.pewresearch.org/fact-tan...on-in-the-u-s/

You're getting all wound up over something that is no longer happening.

I do think you are correct in saying that people who resent immigrants, legal or illegal, were and are a significant component of Trump's support.

Also, Ds don't support open borders, and never have. That would be libertarians.

I say RUNAWAY.
Except that

"Democrats hold a slightly larger edge in leaned party identification over Republicans now than in 2016 or 2015.

In Pew Research Center surveys conducted in 2017, 37% of registered voters identified as independents, 33% as Democrats and 26% as Republicans. When the partisan leanings of independents are taken into account, 50% either identify as Democrats or lean Democratic; 42% identify as Republicans or lean Republican."

https://www.people-press.org/2018/03...raphic-groups/

Where are the voters you are talking about walking to, do you think? It's hard to make a fact-based case that they are walking - or running - to the Republican party.

Whats with the absolute pandering for votes they've been doing?
California wants healthcare for Illegals?!?! I work 60 hours/week and can barely afford healthcare. Now they want my tax dollars to pay for an illegal to get it for free! I just had a tooth pulled because a root canal was too expensive but wait... we have to subsidize people who don't even live, work or pay taxes here (legally)???
Complete pandering for the Mexican vote.
News flash. Mexican Americans living and working in California probably feel the same way I do.
New York wants to give illegals drivers licenses! Really? Like some illegal alien is going to sign up at the registry. Never going to happen, just pandering for the Hispanic vote in NY.

Why don't they do what their original base voters want them to do and support the middle class.
We don't want old school socialism but we need social safety nets so one trip to the MD doesn't mean you cannot pay rent that month.

Giving away tax dollars for votes is as bad as the Reps giving tax breaks for votes!!!
Ah, okay, Well I am a fan of those using their platform on our behalf. We need some people in the media on OUR SIDE FFS! I take issue with you bashing the very people fighting and using their platform on our behalf. wtf?

You don't have to love Trump or wear a MAGA hat to vote for him. I'm independent and I have voted for Dems before but given the current crop of 2020 hopefuls and their ridiculous ideas, plans and schemes for the future I will be voting Trump again. He might not be the best he might not be ideal but he is not going to fundamentally change America into something that those who love it wouldn't recognize.

I'm a middle aged white guy whose politics lean to the Right and I know that the modern Democrat party has given up on me and my fellow Flag waving Constitution respecting Deplorables so I'm giving up on them.

With the onslaught of negativity and tantrums since Trump took office the Dems don't deserve to be back in power.
You constantl post right wing things. You are as as moderate as Rosie O’Donnell is with a pizza she eats. She doesn’t eat moderately FYI

The election will be decided in about a half-dozen states. The rest can be colored in on the map now.
I’ll probably be one of those who oppose Trump and the Democrats nominee.
