More and more Americans are shedding "exceptionalism" and realizing that we are just as capable of terrible acts as any other nations.

But people also poured out of Germany, Britain, Ireland, Holland, Spain etc etc etc to come to the us in the past too largely for economic reasons, not political. So sure some run away from political persecution, but most to seek better economic opportunities which the us has. But this doesn’t make the us an exceptional country politically. It just makes it a land of opportunity because it has a huge landmass and plenty of spaces to grow.

Europe and Canada hae expanded education and guaranteed paid family leave.

Europe boasts stronger female participation rates, less poverty, and better intergenerational mobility.

In Europe, women are less likely to quit after having a baby, thanks to the generous parental leave policies of many countries there.

Class mobility today is much more achievable in Europe than in the US.

They have a health care system that works reasonably well - and certainly better than the US one.

They tax their wealthier at higher rates than we do here. Less tax burden on their poorest members.

The progressives need to stop lying and trying to fool people !!!
Tell the truth about who is going to pay for the transition to Canadian and European systems !!!
That starts by recognizing that the rich and corporations don't pay for it with taxes !!!

Its the people that pay for it by being tax out the wazzoo !!! The other thing that is never ending is the desire for more free stuff and the increasing tax burden that actually will pay for it. When people are being taxed 70 to 90 % they are working for the state and not themselves. Individual choice and freedom is lost. Everyone is gov. dependent !!! Gov. has never been efficient !!!

Here are the Corporate Income Tax Rates in Europe and the US rate is comparable now thanks to Trump !!! If people want to be on par with the European countries then Trump is your choice. He made it happen with his tax policy !!! US corporate tax rate is 21%.
So progressives need to run on telling people the truth. They want individuals to pay 70 to 90% in taxes and let people vote on it !!!
Me personally, I wouldn't worry about a job. I'd spend my days soaking up my benefits, like sun, on the beach and with open borders I'd have plenty of company !!! In the end 90% would not be enough !!!

https://taxfoundation.org/corporate-...s-europe-2019/

All European countries tax corporate income. However, corporate income tax (CIT) rates differ substantially across countries, ranging from 9 percent in Hungary to 34.4 percent in France. Europe’s average CIT rate (22.5 percent) is slightly higher than the global average (21.4 percent).

"Exceptionalism" isn't about America being PERFECT. It is about the concept and founding of a country based upon merit, and not about your FAMILY, or Royalty by birth. It is also the concept of CITIZENS having Natural Rights as humans upheld and guaranteed by the Constitution, and having SOME say in their representation in government.

OP. Take a Civics and History course. Get some education before you post nonsense.

Here's another leftist trying to pitch moral relativism to influence you to hate America as much as he does. At the very least, he can find out who's like-minded and willing to join in his chorus of "America, I hate thee."
