Exactly.
You don't body shame a burn victim.
Or someone with birthmarks, balding, big nose, weird hair growths, missing limbs, etc.
Throwing fat in there seems disingenuous.
It's rude to be inconsiderate to obese people, but it's not exactly the same thing.
It's rude to be an obese person.
We live in dense cities. We wait in small waiting rooms, we ride on dense buses and trains, we fly on small aircraft seats. Obese people are taking a lot of space and making our life less convenient. Eating like a pig and letting yourself to become a landwhale is an aggression against the society.

So is intolerance. I'll take the heavier person over that.

Don't worry, we die off sooner so it won't be too much of an inconvenience for you.
The tweet, by Innovation Nation's Allie Ward, took issue with the Pourtions line of portion control plates, indicating portions appropriate for mom jeans, skinny jeans, and favorite jeans.
In her tweet, she wanted the plates banned, in all 50 states. She thinks they promote "body shaming."
I think it is nice to give a plate like that to someone I know and will see the humor that was meant to be.
Years ago there was an issue with t-shirts referring to Jewish girls who spend a lot of money and as a Jewish person I had zero problems with that. I thought it was funny.
Wow. There are 10,000 diet companies out there advertising on a regular basis and you’re getting bent over Macy’s selling plates? I’ll say this for you; you put a lot of effort into getting offended.
More than a third of Americans are obese. We need to engage in some constructive body shaming. This whole idea of it being “offensive” to encourage people to lose weight and/or watch what they eat is absolutely ridiculous. Walking up to someone and calling them a fat slob is offensive. Selling a product that encourages people to eat healthier portions is not. Get a freaking grip.
Amen.
But that's how a certain segment of the population roll: they wouldn't buy it, so no one else can, either. And this is the perfect example.
Meanwile, others are ordering from their extensive line. Knock-offs will probably appear at Ollie's within 6 months lol.

Probably couldn't market that shirt today. Having a sense of humor is offensive to many.
mine would cajole me to finish mine by reminding me there were people starving in china. my response was to implore her to box it up and send it to them.
I wish I had thought of that.
