Hey 509, I'm sorry that I can't take you seriously since you stated in your first post you drove to Berkley... which tells me that you're a California/West Coast Far-Leftist, socialist/communist and an elitist who feels that you have the moral right to enforce your failed ideals on this country.

Seriously, California is a national joke and most of the country isn't stupid enough to follow their lead.

Btw, you high taxes will destroy the working class, especially people of color... The same people you claim to want to help. If you really want to help people of color and this country, please keep your silly ideals inside the borders of California.

For us....it is even simpler. The state governments can contract with Google. Google knows how fast your phone is going, where it is, and the speed limit for that section of road. Shutting off the phone, doesn't work....Google still knows where you are.

The only way to avoid it would be to travel without a phone. I don't think anybody would do that.

It would be just like the red light cameras. You get a ticket in the mail.
Reeks of tyranny ...

So I looked it up.

Joe Biden voted Yes to impose the 55mph limit on Americans in 1974. I would have thought he'd might have learned a lesson that.

(yes, he's that old)

Perfect world....
Through taxes or speed limits we were able to reduce carbon emissions by 30%

What then? Would there be a measurable change in the climate?

I rarely see a "If A then B". Just WE GOTTA DO 'A' OR WE'RE GONNA DIE!!!!!!!!!!

Try going to a supermarket and bringing home a week's groceries on a city bus. Even if you can find a bus or any other public transit going where you need, when you need it.
And the vast majority of towns in this country are too small to afford or use public transit.

Thanks for the reminder. Everyone can thank Obama for the annoying and dangerous stop/start feature now in our cars.
