Most Trump followers I have spoken to seem to idolize Trump to the point of never daring themselves to say anything against him. I’ve spoken to women who call themselves feminists who would get a heart attack if a man even joked about women or bragged about their promiscuity. Religious people who wouldn’t let a person with Trump’s lifestyle step behind their podium. People who would feel offended if they were discriminated service because of the color of their skin. When I remind them of all the things Trump does and talks about when it comes to the things that go against their convictions they come back with the following typical responses:
-Just leave him alone.
-MAGA!
-He was joking.
-He is the president now so deal with it.
-But but but Hilllary’s emails.
I would expect at least something along the lines “Well, yes, he should be more respectful to women and men but other than that I do agree with…Well yeah, can’t believe people say he best represents moral, family, and Christian values because he just doesn’t. But other than that I like how he…Yes he has shown to be a racist and I disagree with that. Perhaps that might change in the future…Yes, he is a terrible public speaker and can’t carry a conversation without making a full of himself, exalting himself, or sharing his obsession with Obama but at least he…” I wonder if his followers think its some sort of blasphemy to disagree with him or not support certain things. I can count with my fingers the few Trump supporters who can disagree with him on different issues just fine.
I don't idolize the President, I've never idolized any politician or public figure. I disagree with him on a ton of stuff but I still support him as our President and I support a lot of what he's done so far.
I didn't agree with President Obama on a ton of stuff but I still supported him as our President. I want our country to improve and prosper, I'm not going to wish for the President to fail because that means we fail as a nation.
Absolutely. And I've never idolized an actor, sports figure, or politician.
Since the beginning I wish he would stay off of Twitter, or at least have someone proof read his tweets.
He caved on the bump stock thing
He is possibly caving on these Red flag laws.
I think he is probably the worst public speaker ever, although better than myself.
He needs to quite trying trolling the media and the politicians that he doesn't like.

How about you?
Yes- Didn't like allowing for potential coal exploration in the Escalade Grand Staircase. It is an area that has pretty cool rock formations- we have hiked there and really enjoyed it.
Terrible public speaker? Obama couldn't state his name in public without a teleprompter. When off the teleprompter, he was lost and stammered. Then you have crazy Joe who doesn't even know where he is at half the time and provides a gaffe every speech.
Trump is a 10X better speaker than any of the dems, as he can actually think on his feet and can go "unscripted" quite well.
Admitting it in public as a Republican public official or Right wing media guy still can end your career. Until that changes we will still have a skewed view on how Republicans feel about Trump.
The Army of Social Media bots and paid supports that will be unleashed in 2020 by everyone including foreign countries will make this Presidential election annoying and tedious for everyone. I am not looking forward to the constant daily Social Media craziness that is coming. 2016 was just a warmup.
well... in reality there are a number of things i don't like about Trump. Here is the part you wont like at all.
If i were to stipulate that you are correct in the list of things wrong with Trump, I am still standing here looking at the democrats and the republicans out there who could be president, and I see no one that is "better"
Here is the thing the left and the Never Trumper right don't get. Whatever warts Trump has, he is far better for America than ANY of them. period. and its not even close.
In the real world, I know a lot of folks who voted for Trump who do not agree with him on every thing. On C-d, I'm not so sure.
