It wouldn't take mental gymnastics for you to understand if you read the whole article posted in the OP.

It clearly states albeit at the very bottom that the first time he started talking about hurricanes in Oct 2017 that he said no one had heard of a Cat 5 hitting land.

I wasn't defending him.....just saying its clear to me what he means.

Whenever one of you have to explain what he clearly means -- it most clearly means he isn't being clear.

This is not a difficult concept.

AND --- at the time he said it - there was NO model, forecast, prediction that Dorian would hit the USA as a 5 none at all.

Just stop.

Admit it...in his need to be relevant he says STUPID things. He does.

You can still support his policies, you can still vote for him but explaining what he meant is not necessary.

Never have so many made excuses a genius.

National Weather Service corrects Trump on Hurricane Dorian: ‘Alabama will not see any impacts’

Up here in the Canadian wilderness we have a saying that can't be totally be typed on this forum, but it goes something like: "What a dumb (four-letter word starting with an 'F')".

This thread isn't about his tweet above. This thread is about the video of Trump talking on TV on 9/1/2019, sitting in a chair at the National Weather Service, wearing a ball cap, talking about hurricane Dorian. He said he never heard of a Cat 5 Hurricane. He said the same thing on 2 different occasions in 2017. So he said that he never heard of a Cat 5 hurricane at least 3 separate times. Alzheimer's. Losing his short term memory. He forgot about them and reverted back to his long term memory (long term memory that he never heard of a Cat 5).

Trump is losing his short term memory. Classic Alzheimer's.

It's so bad, that NOAA had to issue a statement that Dorian will not affect Alabama at all. Pretty weird when a President is this ignorant.

That's not the National Hurricane reporting.

At no time was Alabama ever mentioned.

The President is an idiot.

While the country is dealing with another mass shooting, a hurricane, etc...he's talking about ratings of The Apprentice.

That's all we need to know.

It is amazing the lengths Trumpers will go to justify the idiotic statements of Gomer Trump.

The problem isn’t his IQ, but rather his mental degradation
This is Alzheimer’s or some other form of vascular dementia issue
He gets such fly-by-night medical care (I certainly don’t trust those yearly “his health is superior” nonsensical briefings) that who knows what issues he is having...
