Nobody said it was the only time. But if you took the time to read the numbers you would see that the employment PERCENT is also increasing and the UNEMPLOYMENT rate is at historic lows.
It's OK to look for bad news everywhere so you can feed your Trump hate.
I don't understand if everything is so great that you need to start a thread on something that occurs virtually every month. As long as the US is adding jobs it will be setting new unprecedented employment levels.
You really are demeaning Our Great Leader by pointing out something that almost all or all presidents before him have also achieved.
When Trump took office, the unemployment rate was already near the 2007 low - which, itself, was already the 2nd-lowest level since 1970. All you needed was modest job growth to get the rate lower.

Can you see the 2016 election on that chart? If you say you can see anything dramatic occurring after the 2016 election, you're lying. It was simply continuing on the same trajectory it had been on since it topped out in early 2010.

Ah, I see what the OP did there. Manufacturing actually in a recession.
Less jobs than forecast...any growth being in stuff that costs us money (health care) and is likely paid for out of debt and deficit (personal or federal).......
Hey, we could put a headline every day in a thread
"Economy and Population of the USA grows" - because it does! Each day.
It's not "winning" to have more people off of health insurance then before and people having to work for well less than a living wage. We could say we've been at "anyone can get a job" level since 5% unemployment....and the downward trend in that has been the same since 2009. But not much "winning" in terms of what the middle class gets paid.
The real numbers are things like - 46% of Floridians are not making it (united way)....meaning at best treading water as long as they go to work each and every day and don't get sick or have anything normal happen to them (car accident, deaths in the family, disease and on and on).....
That's not Happiness of the People nor is it high on the scale of General Welfare. That's serfdom in a sense.
So you don't like seeing more Americans working? Got it.
You don't like seeing record low unemployment for blacks? Got it.

Trump's economy is doing more for the lower middle class than any modern President. That's what rising wages does. The liberals would rather make people dependent on the government than have them earn more.
Wages are still stagnant and many struggle to make ends meet. Is this a feature or a bug in Trump's economy?
The thing that really chaps me is unemployment numbers only count those who are "collecting" unemployment. It's a false indicator not to mention lagging. The UE dept DOES NOT count those that can no longer collect UE and have fallen off. Also there are thousands of employers who have cut hours to get below the threshold for insurance that are not deciphered.
Also to note are the 25,000 govt workers hired.
The job gain was boosted by the temporary hiring of 25,000 government workers for the 2020 Census. Excluding all government hiring, the economy added just 96,000 jobs in August, the fewest since May.
If Trump is such a great business leader why is retail business failing?
