Funny, because that's the same excuse the Marxists have been using: The ideology is perfect, it's just not applied correctly. As long as you get to compare the rosy ideal that only exists in your mind with the grim facts of actual reality, the ideal wins out. Daydreams can outpace reality every day of the week, can't they? We have seen the results of unfettered capitalism, thankyouverymuch.

Once we moved from hunter-gatherer to an agrarian society, it's inevitable. It's a pretty simple progression:
  1. Farming ties you to one spot and makes you dependent on storing seeds to plant for next season.
  2. Granaries are tempting targets for other groups to plunder. Stone age versions of concentrated wealth.
  3. You need warriors who can defend your granaries to survive.
  4. If your warriors are to be any good, they have to focus on preparing to fight - they can't farm on the side. You need to feed the warrior caste.
  5. The warriors realize they're now stronger than anyone else in the tribe.
  6. Feudalism.

The message of communism is attractive because they tell people they will get free services and entitlements. Then the marketplace can't sustain the giveaways because many companies leave the country and go elsewhere because of high tax rates. The tax base shrinks and the country goes broke leaving those who wanted free stuff , without any jobs, no services and no entitlements.

Communism does not work. Too many freebies and the shrinking tax base cannot sustain it. Venezuela the example.

There has never been unfettered capitalism.

No it was attractive because in the 1800s it was a tiny tiny elite that owned basically everything and workers and farmers where sustenance paid serfs, with an oppressive secret police that would jail anybody critical about the Czar!

When you have NOTHING, while a tiny fraction have EVERYTHING... it sounds like justice that workers and farmers gets ownership of the economy.

Developed Democratic states knew the dangers, and mixed their capitalism with social benefits, so workers and farmers would not rise up and destroy the country. They spread the wealth and rights out to everybody.. and created Social Democracis... the most beneficial and prosperous economic and political system that exists!!

You live in X country.. you will get healthcare, schooling, childcare, sanitation, roads, fire deparment, police, defense, safe food and products and government assistance when you need it, all paid for by taxes. But you work in a capitalistic private marked and you pay taxes so your children and children's children will benefit as you did and further our society.

.

The ones in Hollywood are still stupid.

Except that capitalism doesn’t require violence to implement.

Regardless it works or not, the real point is communism is evil and deeply immoral.

Think about it, if you have to employ violence to implement your idea, it’s must be an evil idea.

You can’t name one communist policy that doesn’t require violence to implement.
