What is the big deal?

From what I gather, there are at least two different instances of black face and like immigration (legal vs illegal), people are confusing them and throwing them together.

1) The historical black face of minstrel shows and racial caricatures prevalent from the 18th century to perhaps the mid 20th century. Most people, at least now, realize that this was rooted in attempts to demean black folks. It 's not cool and most reasonable people know this.

2) Darkening your face to dress up as a character (MJ) who happens to be black (or brown). The intent here is mostly benign, but it seems to be associated with the first instance. This is the one that needs debate and maybe clarification.

Since the good and moral Prime Minister Trudeau of Canada has done both, perhaps he should be the star witness in this much needed conversation.

Youthful indiscretion. All of us have probably done something offensive that we regret. Time to move on.

He was 29 years old when he donned blackface as Aladdin. Hardly "youthful".

Youthful? He was a 29-year-old teacher.
Also, its not the first time his actions have contradicted his words.
He's a phony, which we already knew a long time ago, and he deserves everything that's coming to him.

Bad judgement --- 19 year old dressing up as Aladin and putting on brown make up.
OR

-- 60 year old married man, new born baby at home -- one night stand with a porn star....and then pays her off a few years later because a political run is being considered.

!@#$ happens.

Remember when Trudeau had a meeting with Trump, told Trump one thing and then said the opposite to the media....
Trump was watching TV on Air Force One and saw the phony in action.

And Trudeau talks like he's a feminist, but....
Quote:
The Canadian prime minister, Justin Trudeau, has for the first time publicly acknowledged that he apologised in 2000 to a reporter who alleged he groped her, but said he was very confident he did not act inappropriately.

While the editorial offered no specifics on what had happened, it claimed the reporter felt “blatantly disrespected” and Trudeau had apologised for his behaviour. “I’m sorry,” the editorial alleged Trudeau to have said. “If I had known you were reporting for a national paper, I never would have been so forward.”

Get the story straight .
He was wearing highyellowface , which is really just a blip on the radar compared to actually wearing a brownface , or even worse the mother of all chromatic expressions a blackface .
Fake News .

That's not exactly what happened.

But go with it.

It's a game of he said, he said...and Trump's record sucks ----
