Not if that's just the new normal, which is what you seem to be wanting.

You are the one who made this ridiculous statement. Don't try now to lay it on the rest of us because you realize how stupid it sounds.

There is no "new normal" these have been the same rules for the entire existence of the nation.

Every single time there has been an official impeachment inquiry of the president, there was a vote authorizing it. What you want to be the "new normal" is allowing the speaker to merely claim that it is going on at will and giving them the power to compel cooperation from the white house in a completely partisan process.

If that's what you want to be the way things are done every time there is divided government....I mean okay, but I guarantee you are going to throw a fit when it's the Republicans doing it to a Democrat president. Try to look beyond partisan tribalism for a second and realize the harm in what you are advocating.

"Every single time" is exactly three times. Again, show us where the procedure is laid out in the Constitution that says it must be done a certain way. If you can do that, I will accede that you are correct.

Take your complaint up with the founding fathers. They gave the Speaker this power. And they don't care that bobbythegreat doesn't like it.

If a Democrat commits an impeachable offense, then start the procedure. Of course, to the GOP consensual sex involving a Democrat is what they consider an impeachable offense, but thankfully clearer minds prevailed over that travesty.

Yet--and here is the key point--no one tried to stop the House from impeaching Clinton over that, so there is your answer. The Republicans have already done exactly what you are whining about.

Blocking Sondland's testimony is definitely an admission of guilt by the WH and Trump.

This is clear obstruction of the impeachment inquiry.
